Diversity & Well-Being Laboratory

Philo Yang
I completed my undergraduate degree in Applied Psychology at Lingnan University and earned my master's degree in Mental Health of Children and Young People from the University of Edinburgh. Following my studies, I was trained as an ABA behavioral therapist, working with young children on the autism spectrum.
I am thrilled to join the Diversity and Well-Being Laboratory as a Research Assistant. My past experiences have inspired a great interest in mental wellbeing across the lifespan—from early childhood through adulthood—as well as family dynamics. I am continuously learning and exploring various aspects of mental health promotion and advocacy through a person-centered approach.
Outside of my academic and professional pursuits, I am passionate about outdoor activities and sports. I am quick in learning new sports and usually good at most of them. The list of activities I enjoy could be extensive including cycling, tennis, squash, surfing, windsurfing, wakesurfing, surfboard skating, snowboarding (basically anything on a board), hiking and kayaking.
