OUR MISSON
The Diversity and Well-Being Lab is committed to promoting social inclusion and individuals' well-being. We understand the connection between stigma and well-being through basic and applied research. We develop training and educational materials to reduce stigma attached to various health conditions or social identities as well as to promote well-being to the general public based on scientific evidence.
WE ENVISION
-
a society embracing diversity and celebrating differences, free of prejudice and discrimination in whatever forms;
-
a society nurturing individuals to recognize and actualize the true beauty of the self and the collective and promoting well-being for all;
-
a society valuing and reinforcing policies that nurture the aforementioned qualities.
WE STRIVE OUR BEST
-
to eradicate public, self-, and affiliate stigma;
-
to promote well-being and prevent mental illness;
-
to advocate for the implementation of person-centered, recovery-oriented mental health services.
