Gabriel Cheung

 

I'm Gabriel, a third-year psychology major at CUHK. I believe deeply that romantic and sexual relationships are very fundamental aspects of the human condition. However, the fact that certain minority groups may be limited in their expression or development of romantic and sexual bonds due to others' judgement or ridicule disheartens me. Sex and romance are a matter of free preference that should not be seen through judgemental glasses. Therefore, I am interested in investigating how people from different walks of life experience love and sex in their unique ways, and how to improve the quality of these people's romantic or sexual lives. By understanding the underlying needs and underpinnings of discrimination facing various communities, I hope to shed light on the potential interventions and support available to improve these people's mental and sexual well-being.
