Research Interests
My research interest has always been in the field of diversity, social inequality, and intergroup power dynamics. More specifically, I am interested in understanding the interactive mechanism of psychological predisposition, social context, institutional practices and cultural ideologies in producing and maintaining dominance and oppression towards disenfranchised groups within the society.
Bio
I received my B.Soc.Sc from the University of Hong Kong with a double major in Psychology and Sociology. With the aspiration of enhancing societal understanding of underrepresented minorities, I joined the lab upon graduation and served as a research assistant under the mentorship of Prof. Winnie Mak. This one and a half year research experience not only nurtured my awareness of stratification and injustice within the society, but also motivated me to develop a solid determination in pursuing research as my lifelong endeavor.
